Stow Grove Park


Want to be surrounded by towering redwoods in nearby Goleta? Then visit wonderful Stow Grove Park. A very diverse park, it also features two sand volleyball courts, a softball field, horseshoes pits, extensive picnic tables, BBQ grills, playgrounds, lots of other trees (sycamore and oak), many birds (including owls), and grassy areas. On a hot day, spending time in the shade of the green and cooling redwoods is especially rewarding.

Fun Facts

The redwood trees in Stow Grove Park were planted in 1876 to provide a picnic area for the Stow family and the people who visited Rancho La Patera and their house (the Stow House).
